-  Grammar lessons: verb tenses, adverb clauses -  To Read more articles and samples to improve reading comprehension -  To Learn how to write an essay	-  Mini-lessons for grammar needed -  Flipped instruction using academic articles and reading/writing samples for students to read in advance and have in-class discussion -  We are doing 3-paragraph essay, and will start 5-paragraph essay in the mid-of- Week 5 until Week 7.

3. Tell me how we can improve your out-of-class assignments so you are not overwhelmed, yet are still practicing the language.

-  Group discussion -  To Learn how to write a paragraph and an essay -  To Watch movies -  To Meet with other people on campus	-  We keep doing group discussing, as well as working on writing a paragraph and an essay. -  I inform my students to borrow DVD from the UI library and watch a movie over the weekend. -  I inform my students to sign up conversation partner program, and most of them did it.

4. Tell me what is working and what you want to continue doing in-class and outside of class.

• -  To continue writing vocabulary journal
  
• -  To continue writing a complete paragraph/essay without grading
  
• -  To continue reading the novel (both in-class and out-of-class)

Student Suggestions	Possible Solutions
-  To learn academic vocabulary -  To learn formal presentation -  To watch lectures	-  I will provide formal presentation techniques to class, and have in-class discussion. -  Flipped instruction using youtube and TED videos to watch at home. And students can discuss what they have found in class.

3. Tell me how we can improve your out-of-class assignments so you are not overwhelmed, yet are still practicing the language.

-  To meet people from other countries to practice listening and speaking skills -  To meet with a conversation partner -  To listen to English songs and watch movies -  To receive more feedback from the teacher -  To have a study group	-  I inform my students to sign up conversation partner program, and most of them did it. -  I inform my students to borrow DVD from the UI library and watch a movie over the weekend. -  I will keep giving them my feedback (both formal and informal) on assignments.

-  To invite American students to talk about college life -  To know more and university club -  To know more about friendship families program -  To know more about volunteer work	-  I invited the former ALCP students to come in and share with level 3 students their learning experience and life. To invite American students to come in is a good idea, too. -  I informed my students where to look for the information of UI Clubs. -  I will talk with Elitza to understand more about friendship families program and share with my class later.

- To participate in volunteer work	-  I suggested students to “Like” ALCP Facebook page, and students are able to get the latest news from the office. -  I will check with Elitza and/or IPO to see if there is any opportunity for students to participate in volunteer work.

• -  To continue discussing the policies in the ALCP and University of Idaho
